The bokeh in this image jumps out at me, and the 6-blade aperture design of the MP-E lens provides for hexagonal shapes in the background – like little gems shimmering in the background.

This image was made from a small pink flower, where I was hoping to find a crab spider. No spiders around, but that doesn’t mean I can’t make a fun image! Again, a reason why my spray bottle is an essential part of my camera kit – this image wouldn’t be that interesting without it.

No focus-stacking required! in fact, it may have taken away from the simplicity of the composition. Only one image was used here.
