Northern Ontario Rainforest
If we had a rainforest in Northern Ontario, it would look like this. Lush and green even in autumn, air that smells fresh and wildlife everywhere. Great Blue Herons often fly through this corridor looking for their next meal, and the forest is alive with energy.
I knew this vantage point was where I needed to be to get the shot. To get there, I had to scale down a small cliff and jump onto a rock in the middle of the fast moving water. Not the safest thing to do, but I’ve taken much bigger risks to get the shot.
With a 2 second exposure, it makes the water look smooth and “fluffy” as it passed through boulders.
Photographed at Inglis Falls, near Owen Sound, Ontario.
