Painted Colours
This image is a pan-blur of a colourful patch of small flowers with a bit of the blue sky reaching into the top of the frame.
I set the camera to it’s lowest ISO and it’s smallest aperture to generate a slower shutter speed, even in direct sunlight. I then proceeded to swing the camera in an upward motion during the exposure. It’s important to begin the motion before pressing the shutter button if you’re after a smooth continuous effect.
The end result always has an element of randomness, but with some practice it can become more and more predictable. It’s all in the wrist!
