The Sky is Falling

During the end of my macro photography workshop’s trip to the Santa Barbara Botanical Garden, I took out my camera for a few creative shots. I was after some pan-blur images of the beautiful flowers, but came across this tree that worked as a great subject too.

From under the canopy of leaves, I panned the camera in a vertical motion to get this effect. Far more interesting than just a “static” shot of this subject!

There is a certain amount of randomness to these shots, and this is one of five I took – all different in some way. This image had the added bonus of a sun flare, which helped it take the #1 spot.
