Sundrops

This is simple blade of grass that I sprayed with a mist bottle, and crawled underneath it to have the blue sky refract inside the droplets. This is one of the few water droplet refraction images I’ve made using natural light, which was a necessary part of the equation – ambient light from the sky needed to fill in the droplets.

This is also 16 images focus-stacked together to increase the depth of field. This image was shot hand-held so there was some alignment and plenty of tweaking involved to get it looking it’s best, but the editing time is well worth it.
