Mother’s Watch
Mothers are always watchful of their young, and this Moose is no exception. She was leading her two young ones around a winding creek, but constantly looking back in my direction to ensure everyone’s safety.
I watched these moose from a very close vantage point at first, but there were so spread out and cluttered with trees. I waited as the family moved off and crossed a small creek, and for a brief moment they looked back before heading into the wilderness once again.
Photographed in Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario.
