Moose in the Morning Mist

Traveling in the northern wilderness presents some beautiful scenes, such as this young female moose grazing in the early morning.

We had first seen this particular creature the night before, but photographing it well after sunset, from a moving boat and a long lens proved incredibly difficult. Just our luck, the moose (and two others) were still hanging around by morning. This not only offered better lighting, but the misty background added an atmosphere worth getting excited about.
