What Once Was
You can clearly see the outline of a former adjacent building. Rooms, stairways, and you can easily guess where the kitchen was. The lines, patterns and textures are very symbolic of urban decay.
Photographed in Downtown Toronto, this brick wall was part of a functioning, occupied building. I had seen a photograph of the same wall taken a year or two prior that had even better outlines, but the weather is quickly tearing it apart. Solid lines mixed with grungy decay give a very industrial feeling to the image.
This trip to Toronto was all about Street Photography, and was the first step I took in launching a full-time career as a photographer.
Photographed in Toronto, Ontario.
