Swimming in the Forest

All water mammals in Ontario are adorable to watch. Beavers, minks, otters, and of course muskrats. This little guy was swimming through a small creek with a full canopy of trees overhead.

I had been sitting and watching the birds fly in for some time, and this busy little guy was not going to wait any longer for me to move. Up he popped and swam close enough for the 800mm lens I was using to make the image.

Curious but frightened, it wasn’t more than a few seconds before he decided to travel the rest of his way underwater.
