Sleeping Ships

A quiet night in the harbourfront along the coast of the Black Sea, these sleeping ships still have character with only the scattered city lights illuminating them.

Photographed in Varna, Bulgaria, the light from the city reflects back down off of the low clouds to add colour and detail to the sky.

In the mix of ships, you will see a few wooden sailing ships and beyond that the signs of industry – metal cranes and other equipment that keeps the port very active during daylight hours.
