Raining Fire
The lightning storm in the distance got me out of bed to chase it. I found it on the shore of Cook’s Bay in Innisfil as it moved off into the distance, crashing bolts of lighting down near the heart of the storm.
The location I found to make this image was nearby to teenagers partying and carrying on, and not one of them paid any attention to the storm. One asked me what I was up to, somewhat confused that the lightning was even worth mentioning. I told him a photographer can make a great image from nothing, and carried on making this image.
These bolts didn’t all happen at once, but all within 5 minutes of one another. Combined, the sky is raining fire.
Photographed in Innisfil, Ontario.
