This is what Canada is all about – natural beauty

In an alpine region of the Yukon, a small stream flows downward into a valley. Home to caribou and grisly bears, this image was taken on an unseasonably warm day in September. Typically at this time of the year, the area where I was standing would be under a thick layer of snow.

This is a spot that I had seen before, and got me excited – I knew the potential for the scene, and this spot was one of the places I wanted to visit on my travels through the north.
