Long Forgotten
In rural fields of forgotten farms, there still remains the memories of the past. These markers of mankind are quickly being reclaimed by nature.
I was heading back from a trip to Sudbury, and the light was becoming perfect. I told myself, in no hurry, that I would take the next sideroad and search for a place to photograph. I stumbled across an old farm, with these two sheds out back. Overgrown fields against the final rays of light made the image I was looking for.
There were two other photographers here as well, one of them the grandson of the farm’s former owner. He told me that the place had been abandoned for roughly eight years… how quickly nature works to reclaim the land!
Photographed somewhere in Northern Ontario.
