Fresh Air
Water droplets are a window into a world we never see – the tiny, beautiful world under our feet. So much as a whisper of wind would completely destroy the delicate balancing act of this dew.
I stumbled across this when I was searching for waterfalls. The damp air kept the dew on the low-lying plants covered in dew long into the afternoon.
I made this image with a ring flash, and a flash of that design creates ring-like reflections in each water droplet. I didn’t quite like that effect for this image, so I removed them in Photoshop to maintain a natural feeling.
This photo was taken at the base of Inglis Falls where the air always smells like spring.
