French River

Taken after a wild snow storm on Christmas Day in 2008, the banks of the French River were blanketed in fresh white snow. The sun was warm and the air was calm – a perfect Northern Ontario moment.

My fiancée and I were heading to a family gathering in Sudbury, and stopped a number of times along the way as the landscapes were simply stunning. This happened to be the best, but required me walking along a bridge covered in ice with no room for pedestrians.

Risk and reward, I got the shot.

Photographed on Highway 69 & French River, Ontario.
