Daydream
I found this tree in a field nearby. It screamed to me “infrared!”. Here’s what I came up with. It’s actually quite a boring tree when viewed with the boring old “normal” spectrum of light that we see.
Infrared photographs show the world in a spectrum of light that we cannot see, and it behaves a bit differently than regular old “visible” light. The leaves of trees, plants, grass (anything capable of photosynthesis really) reflect tons of IR light. The sky however, does not. This creates a very surreal image made in bright daylight when the midday light would not favour a regular image.
It’s almost as if this tree is reaching out into space.
