David’s Island

This image has a very special place in my heart.

For many others, this image represents a quintessential component to any cottage getaway: tiny islands dotting tranquil lakes through Northern Ontario. Many people have said “I know this island! Is it on [insert name of lake]?”. This one was photographed on Onaping Lake, north of Sudbury.

This image is a single-photo HDR conversion to recover detail in the sky and the reflections. Photographed in 2008, this is my earliest portfolio-worthy image.
