Ambush Bug

These Prehistoric-looking creatures are often found waiting in flowers (so far I have only seen them in Daisies). They wait for prey to come along and then attack, much the same way that crab spiders do. I certainly wouldn’t want to be half it’s size!

I had never seen this creature before photographing it, and looking it at up close, I was shocked to see its bizarre design. I thought creatures such as this would only be found in the tropics.
