Best Seats in the House

5:54AM on Kempenfelt Bay here in Barrie, and the sun has just risen over the horizon. These rowers certainly have the best seats to enjoy the beautiful sunrise on Lake Simcoe.

I was to be at my then-day job (I do this full-time now!) for 8:00AM, and just couldn’t sit behind a desk all day. I got up before the sun, and found myself by the waterfront to catch the sun. To my delight, a local rowing club was just setting out into the water, making perfect silhouettes against the beginning of a new day.
