12-sided Star

Some Snowflakes will form with 12 sides. Actually, this is two joined snowflakes that grow together with branches growing 30 degrees off to create the illusion of a 12-sided snowflake. It doesn’t matter how, I find it beautiful.

At this scale, and at this level of clarity, many people do not believe that my snowflake photos (especially this one) are real. They certainly are real, and this one is roughly one millimeter in diameter.
